Air Conditioning Installation and Replacement

New or replacement central air, sized to your home, permitted, and installed to California code. Written options at a few price points.

What it is

Replacing an air conditioner is more than swapping a box. The new system should be sized for your home (not just matched to the old one), connected to ductwork that can move enough air, and installed to California's Title 24 energy code.

We look at the home, the existing ductwork, the electrical panel, and how you use the space. Then we give you written options, usually including a heat pump alternative, so you can compare cost, efficiency, and comfort.

Signs you need it

  • Your AC needs a major repair and is already well into its expected life
  • Repairs are becoming a yearly event
  • Some rooms are never comfortable no matter what you set
  • The system uses R-22 refrigerant, which is no longer produced
  • You are remodeling, adding space, or replacing the furnace anyway
  • You want to add cooling to a home that has never had it

How a visit works

The same steps every time, so you know exactly what to expect.

  1. Step 1

    Arrival notice

We text or call when the technician is on the way, so you are not waiting around wondering.

  2. Step 2

    ID at the door

Your technician introduces themselves by name and shows company ID before coming in.

  3. Step 3

    Shoe covers on

Shoe covers go on at the door, and drop cloths go down where we work.

  4. Step 4

    Diagnosis, explained

We show you what we found, with photos when it helps, in plain language.

  5. Step 5

    Written options first

You get written options with prices before any work begins. Repair and replacement side by side when both make sense.

  6. Step 6

    Nothing without your OK

No work starts until you approve it. Declining is fine, and there is no pressure.

For this kind of visit

  • The estimate visit includes a look at your ductwork and electrical panel. Both affect what can be installed and what it costs.
  • Most equipment changeouts in California require a building permit, and many require third-party HERS verification under Title 24. We pull the permit and schedule the inspection.

What it costs

Every system is different, so we don't quote prices over the phone. A technician looks at your system and gives you an exact, written price before any work starts. If you decide not to go ahead, that's your call.

Replacing equipment? Ask about rebates and financing.
