Air Conditioning Repair
AC blowing warm, short-cycling, leaking, or not turning on? We find the cause and give you written options before any work.
What it is
AC repair starts with a diagnosis. A technician checks the thermostat, electrical components, refrigerant circuit, airflow, and drainage to find out why the system is not cooling the way it should.
Many AC problems come down to a handful of parts: capacitors, contactors, fan motors, clogged condensate drains, dirty coils, or a refrigerant leak. Some are quick fixes. Others are worth weighing against the age and condition of the system. Either way, you get the facts and the choice is yours.
Signs you need it
- Air from the vents is warm or only slightly cool
- The outdoor unit is not running, or it hums but the fan does not spin
- The system turns on and off every few minutes (short-cycling)
- Water around the indoor unit or a full drain pan
- Ice on the refrigerant lines or the indoor coil
- A breaker that trips when the AC starts
- Rooms that used to cool fine no longer do
- Electric bills that climbed without a change in how you use the AC
How a visit works
The same steps every time, so you know exactly what to expect.
- Step 1
Arrival notice
We text or call when the technician is on the way, so you are not waiting around wondering.
- Step 2
ID at the door
Your technician introduces themselves by name and shows company ID before coming in.
- Step 3
Shoe covers on
Shoe covers go on at the door, and drop cloths go down where we work.
- Step 4
Diagnosis, explained
We show you what we found, with photos when it helps, in plain language.
- Step 5
Written options first
You get written options with prices before any work begins. Repair and replacement side by side when both make sense.
- Step 6
Nothing without your OK
No work starts until you approve it. Declining is fine, and there is no pressure.
For this kind of visit
- If the system is iced over, turn it off and switch the fan to ON before we arrive so the coil can thaw. That speeds up the diagnosis.
- We test refrigerant pressures and temperatures rather than adding refrigerant by guesswork. If there is a leak, we tell you so instead of just topping it off.
What it costs
Every system is different, so we don't quote prices over the phone. A technician looks at your system and gives you an exact, written price before any work starts. If you decide not to go ahead, that's your call.
