Ductwork Repair and Replacement
Duct inspection, sealing, repair, and replacement for better airflow, more even temperatures, and lower energy waste.
What it is
Ducts carry heated and cooled air from your system to each room. In many East Bay homes they run through attics and crawlspaces, where leaks, crushed sections, and missing insulation waste energy and leave some rooms uncomfortable.
We inspect the duct system, find leaks and restrictions, and recommend repair, sealing, or replacement depending on what we find. When new equipment goes in, the ducts often need attention too.
Signs you need it
- Rooms far from the system are never comfortable
- Weak airflow from some vents
- Dusty house even with regular cleaning
- Ducts in the attic or crawlspace that are disconnected, crushed, or uninsulated
- You are replacing equipment and the ducts are as old as the house
How a visit works
The same steps every time, so you know exactly what to expect.
- Step 1
Arrival notice
We text or call when the technician is on the way, so you are not waiting around wondering.
- Step 2
ID at the door
Your technician introduces themselves by name and shows company ID before coming in.
- Step 3
Shoe covers on
Shoe covers go on at the door, and drop cloths go down where we work.
- Step 4
Diagnosis, explained
We show you what we found, with photos when it helps, in plain language.
- Step 5
Written options first
You get written options with prices before any work begins. Repair and replacement side by side when both make sense.
- Step 6
Nothing without your OK
No work starts until you approve it. Declining is fine, and there is no pressure.
For this kind of visit
- We may need access to your attic or crawlspace. Please clear a path to the access hatch if you can.
- Some older homes have duct insulation that may contain asbestos. If we see suspect material, we stop and recommend testing by a qualified lab. We do not disturb or remove it.
- California's energy code requires duct leakage testing in many alteration projects. If your project needs it, we include it in the plan.
What it costs
Every system is different, so we don't quote prices over the phone. A technician looks at your system and gives you an exact, written price before any work starts. If you decide not to go ahead, that's your call.
Replacing equipment? Ask about rebates and financing.
